This is the archive of The Shell Gallery blog, which was active between 2008 and 2018. It is dedicated to the memory of my mother, who died in May 2008, and to that of my father, who passed away in August 2022.

The Shell Gallery also refers to the island of Vlieland, which has zillions of shells on its beaches.

I love the road with the trees on both sides. It reminds me of the saying, "I took the road less traveled for each must find his own."
I have two felines. They are so funny to watch.
Some of the photos remind me of Kansas here in the U.S. Kansas is farmland and reminds me of a patchwork quilt, as does a couple of your photos. :-)
