It pelted down with rain most of today, but as we headed across to the cemetery this afternoon it was dry. Took a few pictures along the way - I do not pictures of the graveyard itself. The rain was welcome, there has been no precipitation for 2 weeks out here, so everything was very dry.
You'll also see two images of my father's moth orchid.

The orchid is beautiful ! My house isn't suited for growing orchids so I have silk ones. Lovely pictures. Linda in Washington

The Moth Orchid is gorgeous. The rest of the photos are also beautiful. I'm just posting a photo of an old village pump on my journal tonight. It's all metal, not brick like yours. We had a little rain yesterday but none today. Jeannette xx
Like all the other commenters I also think the Moth Orchid is beautiful. Those other pictures are pretty also. Helen
I have enjoyed a lovely 'stroll' through your photos on Flikr Guido. The Moth Orchid is beautiful. It also looked as though you had the grounds of the park to yourself. How lovely! You could pretend it was yours for a wee while. Lol!
You live in a beautiful area. We have had lovely sunshine here in the Lakes but it became cooler for a few days while today is a bit overcast but still dry.
I can believe how much you miss Stornoway with its fast changing climate. There must never be a dull moment up there compared with the long sunny halcyon days further south and in Holland. I hope you are filling yourself up with wonderful memories. Thank you for the beautiful photos. They were magical.

Beautiful orchid. I love the color. I love rain. Everything in your photos looks so green! Love the pic of the old village pump. Way cool!~
I think I have a pic of a pump somewhere in my photo journal. I took it the day Hubby, daughter, daughter's boyfriend (now ex), and I drove up to West Point Lake and Dam. It turned out to be a nice place to take some pics.
I am really enjoying your photos. Please keep posting, as I have never been out of the U.S. so I get to see some of the world through your camera lens!~
Blessings!~
Susan
