No, we only got thunderstorms in winter when I was in Stornoway. I do miss that place, if only because temperatures are a lot more amenable to me than the 77F we've had since my arrival in Holland, 8 days ago. I also miss the late light. I'm typing this at 9.20pm, and it's nearly dark. The thunderstorm that is just breaking out does not help.
I'll resume with a new entry once it's passed, got to close down for safety.

I imagine it is quite a change with the weather & shorter daylight.

Yes, I looked at the globe and you're farther south than you were in Stornoway. It makes a difference. We even notice a difference between where I live and Los Angeles. I'm farther west here than L.A. is, so in the summer it stays light a little longer than it does in southern California. I hope you have some suncreen with you. Linda in Washington
They've forcast rain for us tomorrow, but I will be sorry to see the warm weather break. We might not get anymore.!!!:)
Take care

I would have thought you'd enjoy 77F. What would the temperature be in Stornoway about now?
I love thunderstorms:)
I also like having sufficient dark hours so I can sleep, and sufficient light hours to, well, not sleep. It comes up too early here for me to get a decent nights sleep.
Funny sometimes how different people can be!
It must seem very different to you Guido after your time in Stornoway. I've just been looking through the photos from the next entry, they're beautiful. I've never been to Holland but maybe I will one day. I loved the poppy shot and the rhododendrons are gorgeous too. Jeannette xx
The lack of the light late in the evenings was the thing I missed most when we moved South Guido...Take care Love Sybil x
I must admit i love a good storm, especially the electric ones........ i love to watch the lightning flashing away.
I agree with you on the late light.......... its lovely to have that at the end of the day
