Welcome to my Dutch blog, called The Shell Gallery. I am not updating this blog until further notice, but would like to invite you to put it on alerts. Please note I am using a different screenname, Veluweman.
Northern Trip will remain, and should I return to Stornoway, I'll update that from there.
The shell gallery is part of the countrypark near my town, which surrounds a castle, much like at Stornoway, where Northern Trip is based. This castle dates back to the 14th century and used to be the centre of town.
The Veluwe (pronounce: Fay'-lew-er, stress first syllable) is a large area of forest and heathland, stretching for 30 miles in the east of Holland.

I will look forward to your return when and if you come back Guido; I truly understand; I left blogging for 15 months and I found when I came back journals were still the same, but I was wiser about how I viewed them
again, I'm sorry about the loss of your mother; it is not easy when they pass on; they are so much a part of our lives; today would have been my mom's 87th birthday if she was still alive; I was grateful I had her until she was 85

Guido, it's so good to see you are making plans to blog again. I hope you do feel up to it in time. I know how much you enjoyed living on the Isle of Lewis, so it would be nice to see you return there and to Northern Trip, but if not, then I'm glad you've started this one.
