Although not broadly sunny, it was a good day in terms of weather. Went into town in the morning for a wee bit of shopping, then we went on a 9 km / 5.5 mile hike to the Heathlands. We reached the Koningsweg / King's Way, from where there are boundless possibilities for further exploration. The next east-west road is the Eerbeekseweg (Eerbeek Road), which leads past a memorial to a crashed bomber from WWII. There were very few other walkers about, less than a dozen in total.
