A day of varying fortunes in terms of weather. Although the morning started fairly bright, we had a spell of rain between 11 and 1. After that, the sun came out but there was a wee spot of rain as we were out on the daily hike. Four miles this afternoon, through the woods and to the edge of the Heathlands. There were only half a dozen cars in the dogwalking carpark. A man was shouting on his phone that he would be fully available in an hour's time. He was desperately trying to muffle the sound of the wind sighing in the trees and the yapping of dogs in the distance. I took a leek for dinner. Oh, I also found that people are beginning to put out their old Christmas trees.
