Electrical storms

We had a fantastic display of lightning last night at around midnight. The storms were far away to the north, so we barely had thunder. Elsewhere in Holland, the storms caused flooding and a house caught fire after a lightning strike. Not had so much thunder for many years.

I am also putting this entry up to check the alerts situation, which is still zero.

I love thunderstorms.  When I was young me and my dad used to sit in the bedroom window watching the lightning, my mom however was terrified of thunder and used to hide all the cutlery and turn off all the electric items.
I hope no one was hurt in the flooding and the housefire though.  That's not so good that that happened.
Stay safe and well Guido.

Youv'e certainly had your share of thunder and lightening since you went back home ... Mary dosn't like thunder storms and hides herself away under the sheets if possible !!  I lOVE storms and enjoy watching the lightening  flashing over the sky..although I get concerned about Dee who gets himself in a bit of a state daft dog lol   Enjoy today whatever you may be doing.  Love Sybil
P.S. Been very wet this moring here but might just might clear up this afternoon.

When I read your first sentence, via an alert as seems I have not had issues with alerts hmmm, I thought, oh, how neat; I love a good storm.

But, flooding and house fires, well, those can be done without.
