You know, Guido, it was just such a hailstorm on Mother's Day a couple of years ago that damaged our koi pond liner so extensively that my husband decided it was a sign to let the pond go. YOu remember my koi pond? I used to post photos of it... Steve took the large koi off to a larger pond, drained ours, then filled it in with dirt. Hailstorms can be very damaging, indeed. I didn't think to film it... and yes, it did look like a winter scene when it was over. Gives me the shivers to watch it!
This is the archive of The Shell Gallery blog, which was active between 2008 and 2018. It is dedicated to the memory of my mother, who died in May 2008, and to that of my father, who passed away in August 2022.
The Watch Tower stands to the north, overlooking the open Heathlands
The Shell Gallery also refers to the island of Vlieland, which has zillions of shells on its beaches.
