I left Stornoway by plane at 11 on Tuesday morning, and after a quick change of planes at Inverness, landed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport at 2.45pm local time. That's where the journey's luck ran out. Upon checking the baggage belts, my bag was not there. And I had to pull a few ropes to get it delivered to where I'll be staying. That happened this morning, and I'm resuming normal internet output.
Those who have read this blog in the past know that I'm staying with my dad, in a small town a few miles outside Arnhem, 65 miles east of Amsterdam and 15 miles west of the German border. I'm posting a few pics from my journey on Tuesday.
