Country Park

Another visit to the Castle Country Park this afternoon. Quite a nice day, if a tad breezy. Most notable were the four carp, two of which were seen swimming in either of two ponds. Large fish, up to a foot and a half in length. Pictures in the usual location. The country park is relatively small, but we thought there was a turnstile to get out at the back. Not any more. We had to wade through 6 ft high bracken to get back to the regular exit.

I thoroughly enjoyed these lovely photos.  We have carp here too.  My Mom lives on a lake.  We often go out to her place to feed the fish and watch the different types come up, one of which are carp.  They are huge!~

The landscaping in the park and around the castle is beautiful.  I want my yard to look like that!~

Thanks for sharing!~

Blessings!~

That park is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Thank you for sharing it. It's so beautiful that if I walked through it I would feel like I was in a fairy tale. I was amazed by the different things...the Shell gallery, the 800yr old oak, the buildings, fountains, and that Chain bridge. That would scare me. Did you cross it? I would be so afraid of that bridge and how it must swing!
Thank you for sharing this.

It certainly is a beautiful place Guido.
I bet you were a bit annoyed to find the turnstile was gone.!!!!!
Take care

I so enjoyed this 'outing' to Rosendael Country Park.  As keepers of ornamental Koi Carp I was interested to see these ones.  They looked blue/grey.  Were they?
What a serene place to go for a visit.  I'm glad the weather stayed good for you both.
An 800 year old oak tree must have seen many things happen in its lifetime.  I wonder what?
